WHO WE ARE

I started learning about and performing Cantonese Opera with the organization in 2012. Originally joining on a whim, I was quickly fascinated by both the art and the culture surrounding it, ranging from the music to the stories told, such as the story of the Butterfly Lovers and many others inspired by and taking place in the Three Kingdoms period. My interest in the music directly influenced much of my later musical journey, starting with the erhu in 2013; this instrument remains my primary instrument to this day. Through our continued efforts, I hope to share the rich heritage and history of Chinese cultural arts with others around the world. Currently, I am studying at UCLA in the Music Industry major and expecting to graduate in the spring of 2027.
